Migraine Treatment
Migraine Headaches
Migraine headaches are recurring, with moderate to intense pain that interferes with the ability to work, study, and enjoy life.
Cause:
The cause is unknown, although they tend to run in the family.
Treatment:
LORETA neurofeedback can help prevent migraines. In fact, treating the areas in the brain associated with migraine can prevent migraines for months.
Specifics:
Migraine pain is often described as throbbing and begins on one side of the head. Migraines are worsened by physical activity, light, sound, or physical movement. The pain often lasts from a few hours to a few days. Migraines may be associated with sensitivity to light, sound, or smell and patients may experience nausea or vomiting. Migraines are often familial and are frequently associated with menses.
In addition to LORETA migraine headache treatment, I also guide you to making any life changes that may be necessary for long-term relief (such as leaving a toxic job or marriage).
Preparation:
Please read the section on “how to prepare for your session”. Your hair must be clean and dry. You must remove everything you can from your head and neck and preferably clothes and other parts of your body.
