Anxiety Treatment
Anxiety
Anxiety is the response of your body to danger or fear. Anxiety that impairs how you think, feel, or act is not normal and responds well to treatment.
Cause:
Anxiety can be present in many disorders including anxiety disorders, depression and bipolar disorder, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, panic disorders, agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Anxiety Treatment:
Anxiety usually responds rapidly to LORETA neurofeedback.
Specifics:
LORETA treats the areas of the brain that are active in anxiety. As well, I combine LORETA neurofeedback with temporary methods that help it work faster and last longer. These include alternating current stimulation (for instant temporary relief from anxiety) and vagus nerve stimulation (with anxiety-reducing effects that can last many days). If there is an underlying cause of your anxiety (such as marriage problems or abuse), I will support you in addressing that to prevent the anxiety from returning.
Preparation:
Please read the section on “how to prepare for your session”. Your hair must be clean and dry. You must remove everything you can from your head and neck and preferably clothes and other parts of your body.
